Provider extras, project configuration, and the first synchronization.

Install and initialize

Choose provider support

pip install -e .
pip install -e .[anthropic]
# or: pip install -e .[openai]

Python 3.11 or newer is required. The project is installed from its repository and is not currently published on PyPI.

Initialize a project

docagent init --repo /path/to/dv-repo --vault /path/to/vault \
  --branch main --model MODEL --provider anthropic \
  --api-key-env ANTHROPIC_API_KEY --init-vault
  • --init-vault is needed only when the target vault is not already a Git repository.
  • The API-key value is read from the named environment variable; configuration stores only the variable name.
  • Provider support is optional, so install only the extras required by the selected provider.
